Geeklectica works a tad differently than many other environments you will find on the Net.
First of all, I am still stumbling my way through learning the ins and outs and nuances of web design, blog postings, etc. - so please bear with me as I experiment, alter, and almost certainly screw-up from time to time.
More importantly, however…
At Geeklectica, you will encounter an array of content from myself and contributors, but…in the end…the heart and soul of this place is very much driven by the discussion and interaction you will find on its chat boards.
For example, while this is not a ‘news site,’ you will regularly find embedded images, streamable media (videos, trailers, etc.), links to various news stories (both Geeky and otherwise), and off-the-cuff discussions covering a very wide range of topics. Despite my own contributions, the heart and soul and personality of this site hinges on the wonderfully diverse and deeply interesting contributors on its message boards.
The one fundamental principle driving all of this? RESPECT.
Here at Geekelctica, we adhere to a 100% no tolerance rule for spamming, trolling, intolerance, or hate speak of any kind. Once an ornery discussion participant is shown the door, there is no reprieve, there is no unbanning.
As our regularly posted reminder warning plainly notes:
We warmly invite and encourage an open discourse and free exchange of ideas, but will enforce a strict zero tolerance policy regarding trolling, disrespect, or hate speak of any kind.
It’s that clean, that simple.
